Studying Abroad is a life changing experience. I challenge everyone, if you are able, to go to some other country to study even if all you have time for is a summer program. I came to Africa because as an African American, I feel the need to establish a relationship with Africa. This is my first time out of the U.S.A. and this experience makes we want to travel much more to see what the rest of the world has to offer.

- Freshman
- From Atlanta, Georgia
- My hobbies inlcude praising GOD, music, making others laugh, just enjoying life!
- Because it’s not up to me to choose future, my prayer is just that GOD continue to be head in my life and that I do not stray off the path. I plan to remain focused and in due time, GOD will steer me into my true destiny.
- It is so hard to choose just one thing that I LOVE THE MOST about New Life! But, I’m going to try and keep it short.... First off, I LOVE being under the leadership of such ENCOURAGING and INSPIRING individuals like Bishop and our AWESOME, ANNOINITED Musicians!!! Also, I would have to say that I enjoy being surrounded by so many young people that are so anointed and have great amounts of wisdom!! New Life has and continues to teach me so much!! Not only about my Christian walk, but about this thing called "LIFE"!!! Being around such ANNOINTED vessels of praise has DEFINITELY enabled me to learn to worship more freely and to TRULY experience my life more abundantly that Christ sacrificed for!!! I LOVE NEW LIFE!!! =)

Johnny McClenton II
- Tenor
- Morehouse College
- Freshman
- Music Major
- From Kansas City, Missouri
- My hobbies include designing and sewing clothes. Along with that, I enjoy shopping and working retail. My passion in life is music. I enjoy listening and singing classical music, directing multiple gospel choirs at home in Kansas City, observing conductors leadership traits when their working with their organizations, and teaching music to anyone with a heart to learn. If you haven't guessed by now, my major at Morehouse is music. I also enjoy traveling to new places, meeting new faces, and observing the culture and lifestyles of people abroad. Lastly, but most certainly not least, I absolutely adore my family and love spending time with them. The same thing goes for my friends as well.
- My future goal is to become a choral conductor, and professional, well recognized vocal coach abroad.
- The one thing I like the most about New Life Inspirational Gospel Choir is the anointing we carry. It is encouraging for me to know that every time I enter into Sale Hall Chapel on Tuesdays, that I am in the presence of young people who are like me, striving to strengthen their relationships with Christ. Moreover, I feel elated after getting to the root meaning of every song sang in rehearsals because in getting to the meaning, biblical lessons are taking place, which as a result helps me grow in my walk of faith, and makes our singing much more effective, thanks to our dominant and anointed leader, Bishop Dr. Jeronn C. Williams.
